1. Application process

1. The first thing is to find a job

(CDI CDD PROMESS D'EMBAUCHE Different contracts have different requirements)

(If the address at the time of transfer is not the address on the residence, go to the police station to change the address first)

2. Go to the police station and submit your application for transfer to work and residence

(See "3.What are the materials that need to be prepared for the student residence transfer visa?”)

(The remaining validity period of residence for different students may be different, please refer to the "" below)

3. Receive favorable reply, go to the physical examination to get residence; After receiving the reply from defavorable, you can prepare to appeal and apply again

(Depending on different regions and individual circumstances, the time for material review and approval is different, and the waiting time is 3 weeks -3 months or even longer)

(Appeals need to be made within a valid appeal period of 2 months after receiving a response from defavorable)

Paris application submission address: Centre de reception des etudiants etrangers 92 Bd Ney, 75018 Paris (Metro: Porte de Clignancourt - Ligne 4) Office hours: Monday to Friday from 13:30 to 16:00

2. Different situations of the remaining validity period of residence of different students:

[Before you begin the process in Step 2, note that there are generally three scenarios for your remaining time in residence.]

1.Long residence has expired: in theory, it is not possible to transfer to work or stay in trouble, it is best to consult a lawyer

2.There are about four months left in the long stay: you may face the dilemma of not staying in case the work permit fails, so two methods are generally recommended:

A. If you are a BAC+5 graduate, you can apply to the police station for a 6 month residence extension /ASP;

(APS--Autorisation Provisoire de Sejour delivree aux jeune etrangers diplomes)

ASP application instructions in French: http://vosdroits.service-public.fr/particuliers/F17319.xhtml)

B. Apply for a school to continue student residence, in case of failure can continue to stay in France as a student。

3.RECEPISSE has more than half a year to stay: directly submit the application (but because your residency is still valid, it usually won't be given on the spot)

[In Step 3 we will have a question about how we work during this time of the application process]

Two ways of saying

1.Work first with student residence +CDD, no more than 960 hours (no more than 20 hours per week)

2.Upon receiving a favorable response from the Labor Bureau, they can start working immediately with the RECEPISSE。

3.In addition, it is said that when receiving RECEPISSE, it is possible to work as CDI first, not in lesser Paris, but in some other provincial regions (it is not yet verified).
